Khross Interview / Aerial Noise

POSTED BY NU.F.O. ON Jan 4

Towards the tail end of 2011, we became friends with the people behind a new company by the name of Khross. They make and sell an original clothing line geared towards those who live a #rockstarlife. That is, those who are driven to push themselves and their lives, doing what they love and are passionate about. We were thrilled to be asked about being a part of what’s going on with this budding company. Naturally, as we are a self-sufficient DIY effort, their message resonated with us. So, we are proud to be a part of the family and you will see much more info and media regarding this over the coming months. They did, however, post an interview with us that covered a bit about who we are, our love for Boston and what makes us tick as musicians. Check it out and scope the rest of their site while you’re at it. Here’s the linkage: http://khross.co/news/details/khross_welcomes_nufo/

We’re also thrilled to see that AerialNoise has given our tunes the digital thumbs up with an entry about our recent Skrillex remix as well as our Deadmau5 track. We’re super thankful for the immensely kind words they chose to throw down. Much love! Here’s a link to the entry: http://www.aerialnoise.com/2012/01/03/nu-f-o-vs-skrillex-deadmau5/. Make sure you bookmark the site and/or follow them on Facebook for a great feed of new and classic EDM that’ll keep you moving.
Again, we’d like to wish everyone a Happy NU Year! hehe We hope you’re as excited for 2012 as we are. 🙂

Daft Fucking Punk (vs. NU.F.O.)

POSTED BY NU.F.O. ON Jan 2

Daft Punk. Without Daft Punk, chances are we wouldn’t have many of the current leaders of the EDM scene; if we did, we’re sure that they would sound very different. You can hear their influence in the likes of Justice, Afrojack, David Guetta, Deadmau5 and we’re sure many of you have noticed their influence in our sound. Go back and listen to our track “The Climb” and you’ll see what we’re talking about.
So it is with great excitement and reverence that we present to you our vocal remix of their thumping single from the Tron Legacy Soundtrack, “Derezzed”. The lyrics continue the theme of our last two vocal remixes and expand on the story of our thief who is now on the run. Epic tackles the chorus here as Moses holds down the verse. It’s a 2 minute shot of audio electricity, so be sure to add this one to your bangers playlist.
Download the track for free below or stream it on the right under “Listen”! (Works on your smartphone)
Happy New Year, everyone!

Lupe Fiasco vs. NU.F.O.

POSTED BY NU.F.O. ON Nov 13

Hello/Bonjour/Hola/Konnichiwa/etc!
Tonight we are bringing you the 3rd remix from our in-progress mixtape and, friends, this one is a banger! We have been Lupe Fiasco fans since we first heard “Kick Push” years ago and have followed him all the way through The Cool, Enemy of the State, Japanese Cartoon and finally his latest album, Lasers. If you listen closely to Lasers, you can hear that there is some EDM influence creeping through on some tracks, which is part of what gave us the inspiration to take it even further and bring the BPM up for a full on dance anthem.
The track we chose, “Out of My Head”, is an absolute killer; with a hook by Trey Songz and a beat that’s reminiscent of Kanye West’s “Graduation” era production, we were excited to see what we could do to bring some NU.F.O. dancefloor heat to the proceedings. What we came up with is a beat that keeps the positive energy of the original but bumps it up a notch with some aggressive production that makes this track a perfect choice if you’re looking to sweat. 😉
Now that you’ve heard what we’re capable of when working with other artist’s vocals – Kesha’s “Blow” and now Lupe – our next step is to hit you with some more of our vocal remixes. So be on the lookout, we’ve got 2 more coming in December. We don’t want to spoil the surprise but we’ll give you a couple of hints about who we’re remixing: the first is a duo who recently wrote the score for a major motion picture and the second is well known for his very specific hair cut.
As always, please don’t forget to download the Mp3 and be sure to tell a friend or two if you dig it!
THANK YOU,
Moses & Epic
